Kripaly Yoga

Kripalu Yoga unites the body and mind through conscious breath allowing the body to flow, while increasing strength, improving flexibility, enhancing balance and calming the mind.Experience a “Meditation in Motion” in a compassionate non-judgmental practice that allows you to choose the level of physical intensity that is right for your body.Appropriate for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners.

Pilates

The Pilates classes at Giorgio's are based upon the principles of Joseph Pilates. The founder and originator of Pilates. The Pilates method strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility, and balance. It unites the body and mind and creates a more streamlined shape and correct posture.

Pilates addresses all aspects of the core; abdominals, back, obliques,pelvic floor, glutes and thighs. With the addition of various Pilates rings, bands and medicine balls we are not only strenthening the core but by using these mediums creating muscle tone and flexibility in our arms as well.

Pilates is a perfect addition to the conditioning of an athelete. It provides core strength and overall awareness that can take any athlete to the next level, whether it be running, biking, martial arts, soccer, horseback riding etc. Pilates will also reduce the stress and fatigue of everyday life by providing our muscles with the strength and control ,and controlled breathing needed for our hectic lives.

In class, we have multiple levels of Pilates students and therefore the instructor will provide modified instruction for all levels. If you are looking to take your athletics to the next level, get a better body awareness, decrease back pain/neck pain or improve your posture and overall well being .Pilates should be incorporated into your weekly exercise program
